About
Moim Concepts began in 2006 with Pocha 32, a Korean pub built for late nights and portions that came out bigger than anyone expected. Almost twenty years later we operate six restaurants across Manhattan and Queens, and the thinking behind each one is the same.
Korean food is not a single register. Some of it is worth refining and some of it is worth leaving exactly as it is. Seoul Sweets treats tteok as pastry. JuDam builds anju into a full dinner. Gopchang Story serves grilled gopchang the way it is served in Korea, without adjustment. Barbam does the same work behind the bar, building cocktails from Korean ingredients where every drink carries a story.
What connects them is not a house style. It is a refusal to flatten Korean dining into one idea of what it is supposed to be.
Moim, 모임, means a gathering.
